Spalding Motorcycle Show.

I’ll be honest, I’m not a lover of indoor motorcycle shows, not too sure why, I just find them a bit dull.

On the plus side the Spalding Bike Show is right on my doorstep, so I had no excuse not to venture along.

Some people came from much further afield.

Sure there were more bikes out in the bike park than inside the show, but it’s not just metal I like to see when I venture to a show, it’s the people I find interesting.

Inside lay a selection of classic bikes. My fave was this Honda CBX1000.

Meanwhile outside, this manky Suzuki RG125 was my bike of the day, it’s ring a ding, ding noise and general scruffiness appealing to my taste buds.

Back inside I finally caught up with Julian Button from J&B Motorcycles, we’ve been virtual mates for years, but now we’ve met in the flesh finally.

His stand was fully stocked, with everything from Arai crash helmets right through to bobble hats.

His rake of two strokes 250's drew lots of attention.

Heart says KR1S, head says RS250.

I can remember the EXUP being the new king, now it’s just another classic bike.

With no shortage of tales being told I headed home. I’m still not a huge fan of indoor events, but no doubt I’ll go again next year.

I’ll always be a big kid.
