What’s something we are all looking for, but it isn’t hiding from us? Peace. It’s a constant battle to “find” peace during the storm but the surprise is that peace is always around, we just have so much going on in our minds that we don’t notice it or allow it to exist. Life gives us many opportunities to accept peace, but the question is have we made room for peace to settle. To truly accept this gift, we have to understand the meaning of peace just as we try to learn and understand anything else. When we invite family, friends, or a love interest over, we clean and make room for them. We create a space for them to feel comfortable. Same rules apply. Peace will not come into a cluttered mind and it, surely, will not settle down. Inner peace needs space to feel welcomed and invited. There are several things we can do to open the door for peace to come in.

· As soon as you open your eyes in the morning, take 15 mins to meditate. This activates the calm in your life and brings the clarity you need for the day. This allows you to take on and solve the obstacles throughout the day.

· Take 10 minutes or more out of your day to sit in silence. Silence is okay and often necessary to allow peace to talk to you.

· You can’t allows avoid negative thoughts, but you can follow them with positive affirmations, or in my case a simple “chill out, I got this!” I say this one constantly.

The truth is, it’s not that hard to obtain peace, it’s already around us we just have to make sure we keep our mind clean and clear to invite it in and stay with us. You may get off track here and there, but I promise it will always be there if you allow it. Peace is our best friend in this game called life so treat it accordingly.
