We tend to give our subconscious minds less credit than they’re due.

I can recall many times where just thinking about waking up at a certain time before going to sleep is enough for my brain to [miraculously] make it happen.

Another useful case for harnessing its power is giving it the time to solve difficult problems for you. Most people explain this phenomenon as “I stepped away for a couple hours and when I came back I saw it in a completely different way.” My view is that there’s less haphazardness to “seeing it a different way” and that it can be attributed to a deliberate problem-solving effort put forth by your subconscious.
