The Managerial Entitlement Complex

Hanlon’s Razor: “Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity”

It’s not always a conscious sense of entitlement.

There are many leaders who simply don’t have a life outside of their work, and they’re completely oblivious to the fact that people have other things to do with their lives. (e.g. John Boyd, the great American fighter pilot, and inventor of the OODA Loop)

Unfortunately, many investors love these heroic monochromatic founders and confuse their 24/7 activity with commitment and progress.

So you get companies with cultures that reinforce these counter-productive behaviors, and produce predictable results.
