Two Kinds of Voting, Two Kinds of Disruption, and Two Kinds of Unrighteousness

Ben, in general, I admire your principled approach to voting. But Trump is no ordinary evil — he’s so unqualified, so corrosive to national discourse, so incapable of performing the duties of the presidency, that the strategic voting approach and the conscience-driven approach converge around one overarching, moral objective: Stop Trump. Voting in the general election for a protest candidate, or writing in someone, or abstaining entirely — ultimately any of these choices makes it more likely that Donald Trump will become President. If Trump wins the election, I’m certain you and all other similar voters will look back on your conscience-based votes with great regret when, on Inauguration Day, Trump takes an oath that he is neither able nor willing to uphold.
