Is it me, or is it evident that the more heavily we rely on JavaScript the more we find ourselves running in place, with less vision on moving forward..? I mean, say what you will about it’s capabilities and “diversity” (after all, the most widely used mobile platform in the world is essentially built on JS..)It really reminds me of the mid 2000’s and our reliance on bloated platforms like Flash and most folks refusal to look past it’s limitations instead of looking forward for more open solutions..

IMO, it’s better to be versed on a vareity of solutions in a general sense, than to be expertly versed in a singular platform that as it ages, it’s limitations become more and more published.
