A Week Behind The Great Firewall Of China

So basically they’ve built a parallel internet monopoly by eliminating all the possible alternatives. I can’t help but think that eventually it’s going to be more than even the great firewall can handle. The tipping point is probably not anytime soon but China is not North Korea and many times it sounds like they want the “best of both worlds” of modern open communication and control over every aspect (not unlike the West either, but at least it’s free-ish still). Not an easy thing to maintain control of, though that’s how it is right now. Great look at the advancements in app development even tho it’s in the vacuum of a government monopoly.
