Survivor Mom: Teaching Consent

Teaching autonomy and consent around uninvited intimate touching is a good thing for sure. But in my view defining any and all touching as being of that character is not. Teaching suspicion of healthy, spontaneous, non-intimate friendly or affectionate touching or defining any uninvited touching as bad or even assualtitive is not a good thing. Many of the children being raised in this model have not yet grown up. I can imagine a final frame of the comic in which the now-adult daughter is bitterly berating her mother for teaching her to be so intolerant of normal and completely harmless human interactions that it has made her life miserable and desolate. Moderation in all things is still the best practice as far as I am concerned.
