I too find myself at the intersection of community, events, design, experience and communciation, and am constantly wondering what it is really that I do, on a deeper level.

I’ve found that the word engagement is pretty accurate, and have been exploring it ever since! After all, we are working to help people get more engaged, and to be more engaging ourselves.

Thus, could you say we are engagement designers? And if so, what is that engagement for? Is it perhaps, that ultimately, we are about unlocking potential?
