It’s great to see younger scholars digging into the roots of ecocriticism so deeply! But I’d hasten to add how pivotal the insights of non-white scholars have been in furthering this growing global discourse — for example South Asian scholar/authors such as Amitav Ghosh, Homi Bhaba, Dipesh Chakrabarty, Vandana Shiva, and Arundhati Roy. A similarly stellar list of Latin American, East Asian, Indigenous, and African scholars can and should be constructed.
