Two factors stopping your church from growing
There’s a world of difference between how you organize a corner store and how you organize a larger supermarket. — Carey Nieuwhof
Unless you’re an outlier/unicorn, your church will face growth barriers at some commonly identified thresholds. The cause of these growth barriers can be gathered in two buckets: leadership limitations and space limitations.
You could have a massive church building, but if the leadership can’t develop other leaders, create systems that scale, or cast vision for the future, your church won’t grow. You could have an amazing leadership team, but if there aren’t buildings in the area that can hold your growing congregation, you won’t grow.
Self-diagnosis
If your church isn’t growing, ask yourself one question: Do you have more space to grow?
If the answer is yes, you have a leadership problem. If the answer is no, you have a space problem.
If you have a space problem, call a realtor. If you have a leadership problem, call a consultant.
