Great article, Mr. Mangan. A question though: How does this equate and/or effect the strength aspect of training? At 6 feet tall and 250 lbs, I don’t need to add any more size. It stands to reason that a heavier workload with a lower/medium (say, 3–5) rep range would generate better gains in strength. However, it will likely also generate increases in hypertrophy, which, in my line of work, can be detrimental. Any thoughts? I’d be interested in your take on this. Thanks in advance for any information you might provide!
