They Can Leave the Church, But They Can’t Leave the Church Alone

This all makes sense to me. Everyone has their own way of traveling their road. Let a thousand flowers bloom. At the same time, I don’t think there is anything too peculiar about Mormonism and the way people feel about a religion when they grow up and don’t agree with it. I have several Catholic and Jewish friends who have similar negative feelings about their faiths. I feel like I’ve been deceived as much by politics, education, the mass media, popular culture, as I have been by religion. Basically anytime someone tells you what you should do, they are lying to you. It’s just part of life. There are like five people in the world who haven’t lied to me. Everyone else is pushing an agenda of one kind or another.
