Dude! This is amazing. I totally agree. Thank you so much for writing this piece. I have felt like the newest versions of Superman did a good job of showing the human side and insecurities of him, but totally missed the moral incorruptibility of the Superman ethos. LOVE the newest Captain America and I really feel like he stands pretty much alone like you mentioned.

I’m afraid in our efforts to make heroes more relatable and humanized to better connect with them through their struggles, we’ve lost part of the magic of true (fake, i.e. comic book) heroes.
