Great to learn about the many considerations for the new player, especially for accessibility.
Deborah Edwards-Onoro

Thanks for your feedback, Deborah. Our original designs included a volume control, and we’re aware of how important it is for many users. The volume control is one of the features that didn’t make it into the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) after we reduced scope to launch the product on time and with limited resources. Negotiation around what will make it into an MVP is tough; however, it’s not as tough as dealing with an accessibility issue when it affects you. We need to improve how our Design Team presents a complete view of “minimum viable” to our Product team (in terms of what is essential for accessibility and control). Honestly, I wish I had fought harder for the volume control in the MVP, and I will continue to do so as we make updates. Hopefully we will address the issue soon. I’ll keep you posted.
