We just can’t get cut a break, can we? Look at everything going on around us. A worldwide pandemic that has cost over 1 million lives and over 200,000 in the U.S. alone. Unemployment on a massive scale that still sees over 12 million people out of work. Stock market swings enough to sicken the hardiest investor. Floods, hurricanes, heat, locusts…ok, so I made that last one up, but it wouldn’t surprise me.

Oh wait — lest we forget, we have all “unfriended” people in some way, haven’t we? Perhaps our circle of friends has gotten smaller, or our once…

The Abbreviated Edition

I’m a bad pub owner. Here it is, Wednesday, April 14 and I am just getting out the newsletter from last week.

Given that a new newsletter will be delivered soon, I’m going to keep this one short! Stop applauding…you all know that isn’t very nice!

Just a couple of notes regarding Politically Speaking before we get to the Insider’s Picks.

  1. You know how they say lightning doesn’t strike twice in the same place? Well, that’s a myth, but you already knew that. But did you know that our very own Caren White had another article that went viral!?!? Her…

Why the “Matt Gaetz Edition”? First, I thought it might catch your eye. But second, after my preachiness in the last newsletter about integrity, I thought Mr. Gaetz would make a good poster child for exactly what I was talking about!

There is no help for this putz, imbecile, deficient, and poor excuse for a representative. He’s gotta go and let him serve as an example to the far, far right that idiocy, indecent behavior, and lies will be used to reveal the true nature of your intentions.

Don’t believe me? You should see the articles published on April 4–5!

Now that I have that out of the way, it reminds me that I am getting to the point where Politically Speaking will need to add a backup editor! I’ll address that in a future newsletter. However, if you have previous Medium editing experience and don’t mind jumping in once in a while to help, I’d like to hear from you!

It is with all due apologies that I send this mid-week newsletter out. Family strife has reared its ugly head…but I’m sure most of you don’t know about that. After all, everyone has the perfect family, right??…

Rather than work up editorial comment with this newsletter, I will wait until our next edition.

This edition, shall simply be about our writers and readers!

Thank You to Our Contributors

Before I thank our contributors for the week, I publish this list to encourage you, both writers and readers, to explore other writers here. Pick one or two names from the list and read one of their…
