I would live happily in a scientific technocracy. Surveys would assess what I value, and decisions would be made by publicly available experimental data, not a vote.

I fear you will be very disappointed with the outcome of your technocracy. Data does not really speak for itself and experts are no less susceptible to bias than anyone else. In fact they tend to know all of the arguments to justify their position and refute their opponents position.

As an example, give two economists that espouse different economic theories the same data they will each claim it supports their theory.

Surveys

Surveys would assess what I value,..

Simply look at surveys of what people claim to want vs the economic choices they make and you will quickly realize that surveys don’t reveal peoples real preferences. I may say consistently on 100 surveys that I want to eat healthier and exercise more. Yet my actual choices say otherwise.
