Why I give my photos away for free.
Patrick Tomasso

I agree it’s great to be seen and everything else. One of my photos was used by Facebook for an ad. While cool to be able to say and show that, I’d love for that to somehow translate into something that helps me upgrade my computer or add a tilt-shift lens to my gear. If not, it doesn’t mean I stop sharing some of my images.

It’s definitely easier to drop photos freely when you’ve got a steady income stream from somewhere else. With a lot of shooting, I don’t see why someone couldn’t give away photos for free and also add other photos to marketplaces to see what could happen.

Hoping the follow functionality helps photographers get in touch with followers and look into helping further.
