I watched The Ridiculous 6 throughout and tolerated it because of the casting. I watched the Do Over and couldn’t sit through that film. At some point, the pacing was bad, Adam Sandler’s acting was bad, the premise was bad and I couldn’t see myself investing any more time with it. Since this is Netflix, how can you tell if it’s a flop? I read where Native Americans were upset over the Ridiculous 6 because of the way they were treated on the set and to see Adam Sandler dressed up in Native American garb was a little whitewashing. So Adan Sandler continues his lucky streak of making bad movies. Instead of going through the theatrical route, he’s chosen net streaming as an alternate. I have a Hollywood actor friend who just can’t stand Adam Sandler and to why he keeps making bad movies. Well, he understands the mechanics of the business. He’s making films with Netflix now and they need content and Sandler has a core audience that satisfy the numbers for Netflix. Love him or hate him, we will watch some of Adam Sandler if not all and some is all he needs.
