How to become an Author? Based on a real story, explore the inspiration and motivation behind a young writer

How often you have come across someone asking “What should I do to be there?” Be it for a position that they are focusing on or Be it for a destination that they want to reach? or Be it for becoming an author?

For the curious minds, this question is so powerful than these similar ones “How can I be there? Or How did she achieve her promotion? Or How did he build a succesful social media app?” or “How to become a ______________? The difference is in within their own innerself, a little bit of introspection will uncover the burning desire or curiosity from within to formalize and focus on what makes oneself happy and thereby creating a pathwat for ones own success.

Here, I am happy to share one such story of an young girl who had just moved up in the ranks from a kinder gardener to first Grader. She had a surprise question to ask “What should I do to have my name on the front cover of the book?” Pointing to a library book that her dad was holding. With perseverance, commitment and self motivation, the process of writing and illustration started., there were days when words weren’t flowing through, there were days when the paper was crushed, there were writers block and there were days searching for ideas. However, with consistency the young girl’s children book was created with passion and love for story telling.Yes, finally her own debut book with her name on the front cover of “The Lost Dog befriends a green-tailed Panther” was published. A book about making friends and helping others.

The world of possibilites for the writer was uncovered,

1. When she asked herself “What should I do to have my name on the front cover of the book?”
2. When she practiced “Writing Prompts” provided to her by her teacher
3. When she jotted down ideas and brought a structure to it with the beginning, ending and the subject that she was trying to convey
4. When she kept on writing until she felt that the story could be told by herself to her friends
5. When she illustrated the characters and also set a back drop of where the story was happening
