Lessons from Hollywood: Things NOT to Write About
WARNING: I name drop to an obnoxious level in this article
I’ve been on Medium for a week and maybe it’s the algorithm but mostly I’m seeing articles about how to get followers (100 in 1 hour!) or how to write in more profitable ways (Use These Writer’s Tools and Tricks to Earn $4000 a month Passive Income for the Rest of Your Life!)
In a way it reminds me of the old Classified Ads gambit where people would take out classifieds in all sorts of print publications and ask people to send $1 and a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope [SASE!] to get details on how to make money through classifieds. It’s like Inception, with envelopes.
Or, going back further, it’s like that Italian dreamer and his postal coupons.
