Diana DeBrito, known by her stagename IAMDDB is a rapper, singer and producer from Manchester, UK.
Born in Manchester, raised by parents that hail from Angola and Portugal, DDB’s inspiration stems from her roots. She cultivated her rap-skills in the UK, but her love for Jazz started when she watched her father, a jazz-artist, perform in Angola. This melange of the two genres resulted in what we now call ‘’Urban Jazz’’. IAMDDB is the self-crowned queen of this new genre.
Edges on fleek, braids flowing, outfits on point. DDB is perfection from head to toe. Next to her styilsh appearance, the artist shows true X-factor. She is a true enigma on stage by captivating her audience with her calm songs that she switches up with bangers that make them jump. Her biggest hit today is ‘’Shade’’, a true anthem for when you’re feeling badass. The track features DDB’s vocals on a raw trap beat.
To finish off 2018 with a bang, the Muncian became the main support act for Ms. Lauryn Hill’s European tour. DDB took to Instagram to announce the news by stating ‘’Main support for @ms_laurynhill. Dreams do come tru xo’’.
