Strongly disagree on equaling Science and lack of spirituality or higher purpose.

You can be an Atheist and your world view can include traits that you would describe as spiritual or even mystical. Main difference is those traits do not raise from first principles or Higher Beings but from the Now.

The vocabulary to explore the spirituality of those that recognize no spirit gets a bit more complicated. There are examples enough that being a false dichotomy, one that comes to mind is the new and older Cosmos.
