Oh, it’s me I see.

Yesterday I saw 2 people sleeping in a doorway in sleeping bags. It’s cold here.
Around them their bags and all their worldly goods and belongings.

What arose in me was deep compassion and love.
I am grateful for them and to them.

The next thought I had was from a teaching that instructs me to have gratitude to the services of all who are in a position that cause the arising of love and compassion within me.
However, I must separate the feeling from the story of what is being seen, despite the 2 not being mutually exclusive.

Truly they should be seen with gratitude and respect for showing me my self.
The heart mind and what I have within me and literally giving me a serving of the best, most satisfying and soul filling food there is, Love, compassion and kindness.

Just as one would eat food from a plate, those who suffer, including animals and the planet too are serving us the foods of love and compassion when seeing from the heart mind.

I cannot go to the store and buy it. The arising of love and compassion is free for those who have eyes to see.

Conversely. I must bow and honor those who show me my fears, hate and contempt’s and judgements.
It isn’t you I see when these things arise, it is me I see through you.
I am that which I see.

This too is a gift because it shows me where I am not yet free. They show me that I am not yet ripe with a pure heart of only love and only compassion.

All people, all things and situations offer gifts.
Love and compassion and or freedom from hate and attachment to wrong views and the delusion of separateness.
Freedom from hate comes wrapped in hate.
Freedom from fear comes wrapped as fear.

You are me. You are the mirrors which show me my different minds.

You show me my ego mind full of fears, hate and judging and you show me the heart mind full of only love and compassion.

I bow to each of who show me who I am, who are serving me the reflections of my heart mind and also pointing me to where I’m am imprisoned by wrong views such as greed, hatred and delusion by the ego mind.

I bow to each of you and thank you for helping me see.
Your sacrifice does not go unnoticed.
I see you.

Have the best day ever.
Serve up love and compassion, give it away freely and abundantly and you are sure to experience the same.
