2015/16 was the year of the sharing economy, 2017 saw an increased trading in the cryptocurrency market and 2018 is already witnessing the rise of chatbots.

With Kudi and Lara getting popular earlier on in 2017, We launched Simbi January 2018, and then along came UBA’s Leo and now Diamond Bank’s Ada. The chat bot industry seem to be getting really interesting.

Simbi’s Numbers after two months

Following the launch of SimbiBot 8 weeks ago, we’ve recorded some really interesting numbers which I am more than happy to share with you.

Our impressive adoption rate continued and we were able to hit the 5,000 user mark before UTME ended.

We as well recorded about 104,450 conversations which means ~ 21 unique conversations per user.

Worthy of mention as well is the number of our facebook page like which is now around 9,300.

What we have learnt

SimbiBot initially offers free test trials to users after which they now have to either pay a token to get unlimited trials or share to get more free trials.

But despite the fact that there’s an option to “get free trials”, more than half of our users chose to pay. Which goes to show that Nigerians are usually willing to pay for a service so far there is quality.

What Next?

Good question, I hear you ask. Now that UTME 2018 has ended, we are now preparing SimbiBot to cater for Post UTME needs.

With our question pool now increased to 12,000, we have past questions for higher institutions, so far, covering Unilag, Unilorin, Uniben, OAU, UI, AAUA, UNN, FUTA and FUNAAB, while work is still progress to cover for other schools.

If you wrote UTME 2018, now is the best time for you to start preparing for PUTME and SimbiBot is just as ready to help you out. Chat with SimbiBot now at m.me/simbibot
