Two people, eight letters, four countries and thirty-two years of love. Join me and travel through this love story.

“I think love is the most powerful weapon to change the world.”

Follow the trajectory of my object as it migrates from Oaxaca, Mexico to Athens, Greece finally to Istanbul, Turkey.

Love Letters Migrating.

“They spent the week together and fell in love.”

LOVE letters have the ability to produce the strongest relationships from the farthest distances.

Juan Carlos holds love letters from his Aunt and Uncle that represent the power that love and writing can have. Because the media often portrays migration in a negative light due to many international crises, Juan Carlos believes that we have to remember to look on the bright side; there are other migration stories that don’t involve conflict.

For example, his aunt migrated to a different country, leaving her home and religion behind to marry a man she loved, and has been with that man for 32 years. Juan Carlos sees this story as an example of how migration affects all of us and how love is a motivational factor to create effective change. Juan Carlos studies strategic communications at the Iberoamericano University in Mexico. He plans to be an entrepreneur in the food and service industry, and is developing mobile apps for nannies and finding roommates.
