After a gloomy time, I want to send a friend an uplifting or inspiring message. Some days, you may want to do this also.

Email them saying, “Hello, my amigo! I’m feeling quite cheerful today, and I hope you are, too. Every day is a new chance for growth and spreading love. Let’s embrace this day openly and share kindness with everyone we meet.”

Take the time to write something to a friend, family member, or colleague, expressing your appreciation and encouragement.

This reflects your positive outlook and desire to spread positive thoughts and love in a respectful and caring manner. Spreading positivity aligns with my goal of helping people think about critical issues like addiction and the “thistles of the soul.”

Ever happen to you?

The classic act of paying for the coffee or meal of the person behind you in line at a drive-thru or restaurant can brighten their day.

Make a small donation to a charity or cause you believe in. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a difference. Or volunteer at a local shelter, food bank, or community center. Your presence and assistance can be invaluable.

Tell somebody they’re nice.

Offer a sincere compliment either to a stranger or someone you know. Compliments can boost self-esteem and spread positivity.

Sometimes, the most significant act of kindness is simply listening. Be there for someone who needs to talk or share their feelings.

What’s a crumpet between friends?

Bring treats or snacks to your workplace or a gathering of friends and share them unexpectedly.

Leave uplifting notes in public places, like on a park bench or in a library book, for strangers to discover.

The key to these acts of kindness is sincerity and genuine care for others. And don’t let them catch you watching back.
