It is not wrong to be RIGHT

“Hey! How come have you never even tasted alcohol?” These were the words of one of the guys in my college who was not able to believe that I have never even tasted a liquor. He was asking me again and again, because it was strange for him to believe that someone 20 year old of this generation had never indulged in such a thing! What have we become? When did doing the wrongs one after another become so cool? Here’s a look at all the points I contemplated over this thought:

  • Don’t let others make your to-do list. Yes, you don’t need to listen to that friend who tells you how ecstatic it feels when you get high! Or that friend who tells you it’s totally cool to spend a lot of money over unimportant stuffs or that friend who tells how cigarettes can release stress, or that friend who tells you that *you get only one life and if you don’t enjoy your youthful days, when will you enjoy?*
  • Embrace your differences and define your “own definition of being cool” In a world that has defined being right as being “old school”, be old school. Read a lot, stay away from social media as much as possible, spend time with your family, help people, think of others before yourself. The list is yours, add all the doses of “rectitude” you can.

Spend time alone in a world that demands you to be online all the time and think of all the times you did wrong and how you felt afterwards. Then, think of all the times you did right and how you felt afterwards. My point then will be clear to you by yourself!
