With the World Series over, the Hot Stove season is in full force. The Red Sox will be looking at options to replace David Ortiz and strengthen their bullpen.

In addition, minor league players have become free agents, and we should see some changes to 40-man rosters soon. The Rule V draft takes place next month at the Baseball Winter Meetings.

The following are free agents who spent time last year with Portland: Mitch Atkins, Keith Couch, Jacob Dahlstrand, Cody Decker, Nate Freiman, Henry Ramos, Rainel Rosario, Ali Solis and Jose Vinic0 (only player to sign a new deal, he’s now with the White Sox.

Congrats to Massachusetts native Gary DiSarcina on being named the new Bench Coach for the Boston Red Sox.
