I’m glad you’re thinking about this Maarten van Doorn. Thanks for responding!

I’m no longer worried about where philosophy fits. If you buy into the tree metaphor for organizing knowledge, then philosophy is the trunk from which all the other disciplines must sprout, because it contains epistemology: “What do we know? How do we know it?”

BUT I’m not into the whole tree metaphor any more. Because of the internet, knowledge is now organized more like a web and less like a tree.
