This is fantastic, and I believe the key to living a happy and fulfilling life. For me as a child I was taught to hate myself and believe that I was not valuable, that I didn’t deserve love, happiness, and success. Believing this at my core was like building a house on quicksand. Though I excelled in virtually all areas of my life and externally had all the markings of sucesss I was dying inside and always felt like a fraud. Slowly bit by bit I sank to a dark and lonely place that was in alignment with my self hatred. Once I was able to let go of this belief system and learn to love myself I was free to experience the joys of life. It is not an easy thing to do and is sometimes a struggle. When those negative beliefs directed at self are so deeply ingrained it takes a tremendous amount of courage and strength to push them back. Positive affirmations help so much and you have beautifully illustrated that process here. Thanks so much for sharing this.
