Okay look the story/rant by Sam Kriss is an idiot’s rant from a clusterfuck of a human being and the fact that Wired published his idiocy is an offense to all fans of the publication. Worst of all though is the title. Yeah it took me a minute to realize that he meant black hole and not black man, it’s another example of what a trainwreck Kriss is, and the fact that he holds too much influence in Wired’s San Francisco’s office.

But it might be that you’re a bit oversensitive to the fact that this idiot mentioned Tyson in the title, or in the story. Other than the title, I didn’t see any covert or overt racism. I’m not particularly sensitive to things oppressors and the oppressed call “code words” but overall Kriss is just a moron who doesn’t have any idea what makes science and fact interesting. He’s just a wordsmith and can’t differentiate between the atrociousness of the English language and the elegance of specificity required by math and science.
