10 Reasons to Meet With a VC Associate

This is a great discussion. I think a lot of CEO’s might feel the way I do, that we are completely open to talking with Associates (I spoke with one this past week). However, we are cautious to talk too much for fear that they are only calling us to complete due diligence on a competitor.

So, I’m curious, 1) what percentage of your calls to CEO’s are for genuine interest in investing, then 2) what percentage of your calls are for due diligence on a competitor, and finally 3) if I asked you if you call was for due dilegence on a competitor and it actually was — would you tell me?
