I certainly hope you’re right, but unfortunately history seems to show that paid apps like this simply don’t work. There’s always a competing “free” alternative that users will choose over a paid one, even when it’s inferior. Some of us see the value in paying for privacy, but we’re definitely the exception. Most users appear to be more willing to part with their personal data than their money.
