We spent months bracing and preparing for the death of our daughter.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I knew from the title that it would be tragic, but it was also written with such compelling warmth and love and naked honesty that I felt a mixture of sadness and (a small amount) of joy at the end. Then I read some of the comments, but had to stop because people tend to interject religion into stories that have absolutely nothing to do with religion or spirituality. People should realize offering religious beliefs of “bigger plans” or “god/jesus holds her…” where none were mentioned is not at all helpful. They should just allow what happened to your family to exist as you experienced it and not look for deeper spiritual meanings.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
