Job Hunt

On the job hunt you need to work strategically. Shotgunning your resume won’t do. If you apply to a hundred different places, the people reading your resume will glance through it as quickly as you wrote it. The recruiter wants to see something impactful. Just claiming that you won ‘X’ award doesn’t mean much to them. You need to clarify it for them. I won ‘X’ award among 1000 candidates.

Another thing is to focus more on your referrals. Resumes that are pulled from the internet are placed in a giant pile. Out of 100 resumes, they’ll call 3 for a phone interview. However, if you go through referrals, you’re only in a pile of 10. By going through a reference, you instantly increase your chances of getting an interview by 10x.

Focus on your network and you will have a much better chance of succeeding on your next job hunt.

Looking forward to the future, the possibilities are endless.
