Love and Pain

In the morning I will sometimes

repeat these words: “love suffers long.”

I remember them because of Him, and they

will sometimes mingle with the words: “If

we hope for what we do not see, we

eagerly wait in patience.”

Patience means to suffer long, but it takes

time to understand that. Suffering is the

fruit of pain, and pain lives with love

in this world. Rejecting the possibility of

pain, we forego love. Pain is inevitable

with love because we fail each other.

Every day. Strength and courage are

needed for the obstacle of pain.

I guess what I’m trying to say is:

love isn’t for cowards.
