Following birthdays and Christmas, my Mom would always sit me down and make me hand write thank-you notes for my presents. As a kid, I hated it. It was tedious and it always made me feel somewhat disingenuous since I wasn’t the one who wanted to write the note. Fast forward 15 years, and I still write thank-you notes to this day. But not just for birthday presents.
