I think what you’re circling around is the mother of all brands: trust. The problem here is the newness, volatility, chaos and theft happening. It all adds up to less trust than your 100-year old bank. But as nation-states start adopting digital currencies to more accurately manage their monetary policy (i.e., China), then we will see mass adoption. Apple Pay’s new cryptocurrency will also help.
