Entrepreneurship is A Lonely Road

Many people avoid discussing how entrepreneurship can often be an extremely lonely experience. I don’t aim to be negative, but the reality is that when you start a business, you alone bear the weight on your shoulders.
I can’t think of a better song that resonates with this sentiment than Green Day’s “Boulevard of Broken Dreams.” As the founder of a new venture, it’s easy to feel isolated in those early days as you work to get your concept off the ground. The road of entrepreneurship is one often traveled solo, at least initially. All of the pressure, uncertainty, and big decisions fall squarely upon your shoulders.
While lonely, this solo journey can also be immensely rewarding. By following your passions and vision, you have the potential to create something truly meaningful. The road may be lonely, but it doesn’t have to stay that way. As your network grows and your business matures, you may find new partners and team members to share the ride with you.
