Why I’m starting a sales show and why you should join

Sales is hard to master.
It’s an art and a science that takes a lifetime to craft.
The more successful salespeople you expose yourself to the faster you sharpen your sales craft.
I’ve wanted to share my 10+ years experience in sales with others looking to better themselves for a while now.
I had the idea for a sales show one year ago but I did not have the mind space to execute on it well. I also determined I did not have the personality to make a show entertaining enough on my own.
Fast forward to February of 2016, I come across this guy, Henry Johnson, who also happened to be in sales. He found me via a Medium article, 5 Business Leaders You Should Follow On Snapchat RIGHT NOW. I followed him back on Medium, then Snapchat and Twitter.
I got to know Henry a bit more on Snapchat and discovered he too has been thinking about passing his sales knowledge on to others after a one-on-one conversation with Gary Vaynerchuk. I liked his Boston-by-way-of-New-Jersey style and his philosophy regarding always being in a state of greatness with personal growth, so I reach out and pitch him my idea to do a sales show together.
What we realized is that there are tons of sales shows by sales coaches and leaders who were once in sales, sharing experiences from “way back when” but no one sharing lessons and experiences while in the sales seat. There is something to be said about someone who has tried a technique earlier that day then pass on the results to others in real time— a sort of virtual sales mastermind.
Enter #RealSalesTalk. The show for salespeople by salespeople. Our first season will consist of 10 episodes, 5 sales topics chosen by Henry and me and 5 by some of the most well known thought leaders in sales and marketing. Our goal is to share our success, network, sales tools, and lessons as we learn them.
