I don’t really like the sanctimonious tone of this comment.

But he’s not shedding light on anything. He went into something with expectations he determined in advance. Those expectations were not met, so his solution is to turn around and whine that it’s everyone else’s fault but his. You want to read sanctimonious? Go find his original “humorous” essay — it may take you a while, as it did me, but it’s out there. No wonder he didnt link to it in his article, because it basically undercuts everything his poor, sad, little story had to say.

Cutting through all his bullshit, he wanted something, but he wasnt willing to put in the effort for it. He expected it to be handed to him because… well, he just did. I think we call that “entitlement” these days. And he really needs to get over it.
