New API Feature: Federal vs. State DNC List Check. What’s The Difference?
Too long to read? Listen to audio version!

Good news! We have some incredibly exciting things to share with you. Searchbug is constantly striving to improve our services as we fully understand how important precise, effective, and compliant information is to your company.

That is why I am beyond thrilled to announce the launch of the long-awaited State DNC Check, a game-changing additional feature for our Phone Validation APIs. The catch? There isn’t one! It’s all for free!

What Sets The Federal DNC List Apart From The State DNC List?

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) manages the Federal Do Not Call (DNC) List, which shields consumers nationally from telemarketers’ unsolicited calls.

Marketers can ensure they comply with federal laws and avoid approaching those who have already opted out of receiving such communications by consulting the Federal DNC List.

However, some states also maintains their own State Do Not Call (DNC) Lists, which, combined with the Federal DNC List, give citizens of each state additional security.

Marketers must abide by federal laws as well as the particular state laws. Thus, they must check the Federal DNC and associated state lists before making calls.

This is why you should update your phone validation API keys to take advantage of this new feature, as the old API keys do not include the code to check phone numbers on the State DNC list.

How It’s Different From The Previous Version?

DNC Check has always been a component of Searchbug’s Phone Validation APIs. But only those numbers on the Federal DNC list were examined.

Thanks to recent advancements in our phone validation capabilities, you may now easily cross-reference numbers against the federal Do-Not-Call (DNC) list and the 13 State-specific DNC lists.

As a result, you can relax knowing that you won’t be calling those who have specifically chosen not to receive telemarketing communications.

Here are the 13 states that have their own DNC list and rules:

•Colorado

•Florida

•Indiana

•Louisiana

•Massachusetts

•Mississippi

•Missouri

•Oklahoma

•Pennsylvania

•Tennessee

•Texas

•Washington

•Wyoming

Since maintaining compliance is a critical issue for businesses, we’ve incorporated State DNC Check into our Phone Validation APIs to make it simple for you to do so.

You can streamline your operations, avoid legal troubles, and cultivate good rapport with future clients by integrating the new API keys into your systems.

How Can I Access Federal and State DNC Check?

We urge current API users to obtain the updated API keys for the particular service they are using since this is a new feature. The old API keys will continue to work, but you need to get the new keys in order to access the new features.

The best part is that this is just a value-added feature for our current and potential API users. These new improvements and features are absolutely free; there are no additional costs for you, and we won’t be raising the prices for the APIs.

In Case You Missed It

Aside from the State DNC List Checker, we added a new API feature to strengthen business compliance. Just last week, we launched the TCPA Litigator List Check.

The TCPA Litigator List Check enables companies to raise their compliance standards and safeguard themselves from potential legal issues with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

You may be curious as to what TCPA Litigator Check is. Well, it’s a new program that examines phone numbers and compares them to a large database of phone numbers referenced in TCPA lawsuits dating back to the year 2000 up to the present day. For data accuracy assurance, the list is updated Monday through Friday throughout the year.

Conclusion

Businesses and marketers can now reap the benefits of Searchbug’s new Phone Validation API version with the State DNC Check function. You may check numbers at the federal and state levels with this updated DNC Check, giving your company added compliance and security.

We strongly advise our valued customers to upgrade their API keys to take advantage of the improved functionality, which includes State DNC Check, DNC Complainers, and TCPA Litigator List Check.

By implementing these additional value-added capabilities, you’re one step ahead in your telemarketing efforts, maintaining regulatory compliance, and building stronger relationships with potential clients.

If you have any problems or need help upgrading your phone validation API, please do not hesitate to contact our outstanding customer support staff.
