Your Handmade Textiles And Labor Day
Abby Franquemont

Thank you, Abby. You validated the pain in my heart that few of my contemporaries seem to understand. You also gave me a reason to return to knitting and crocheting. Bless you for using your writing talent to champion the downtrodden. There was another song I sang as a child: “Look for the Union Label”. “Labor” has retuned to slavery. We had such a brief period of respect. Again, thank you for shining a light on our history especially for the young who did not live or witness the emergence from and return to the degradation born of greed.
