#PPPMoodOn
These are the 3 P’s I adopted as my way of living, that in Spanish stand for “Pensamiento Positivo Permanente”, or rather Permanent Positive Thinking. The second two are quite common, or at least in these days, whilst maintaining them in the long term, is quite a hazardous task. But lets at least try it…as the three stripe brand says, “Impossible is Nothing”… and neither is being positive, permanently.
¿Why is it that when the glass is half full, some just see it half empty…?
Life’s constantly putting us in awkward, undesired and difficult situations where we just have to choose how to proceed, to follow the next path. Our next step is totally upon us, as is the attitude we adopt when we take it.
Let’s use some personal experiences to be more precise and show how a “half filled glass” course of action would be…obviously every case is personal but perhaps this helps to adopt this mindset and why not, benchmark it!
I’ve recently landed in Melbourne City, from Buenos Aires, almost three months ago, (Why Not was my motif…) with the hope of getting a 2-year visa, finding a job that’ll sustain me in the short term and help me settle for the long term. Guess what?… all these came true in just 2 months and some more nice things occured as well.
Those who know me can say I’ve always had this positive mindset, on top of just saying it, really feeling it inside me. How does this work? I just focus and try to figure out what I would like to achieve, nothing too greedy, never too shallow, simply being grounded with small things that’ll slowly fill the glass…It’s about not fearing taking action and daring to make mistakes in what you’re desiring.
It’s about convincing yourself that by doing nothing you have certainly nothing to achieve… so by just trying something, you’ll have more than nothing, and that’s something. Definitely what you feel inside, it’s worth trying it.
So yes, since I put a foot in Australia, in fact, since I decided to buy my flight ticket, my North was clear: I certainly will have to walk the streets, knock on many doors, and many more, speak some Italian, a lot of English, some Spanish too, recite my CV by heart, and never doubt that what I’ll be doing will later payoff… not monetarily speaking, but by living a great opportunity to keep on experiencing my journey of life. The harder we try, and more mistakes we make, the more we learn and the better we’ll end up feeling.
My Dad always repeats this saying… “The Bearded Man squeezes, but will never strangle you…” Obviously you’ll have to try hard, and make some sacrifices, but if you’re really determined, and really desire what you want…the glass will always be half full for you.
Less negative thoughts and much more positive ones. Let’s fill our glasses with more #PPPMood… Cheers mates!
