You left something out: it was the far-left that was really the target — or, rather, the “mark” — of the DNC hacks by Russia. Republicans were always going to loathe Hillary Clinton for false, irrational reasons, but the hacks were always a ploy by Russia to divide and conquer the left. The far left was told repeatedly that WikiLeaks was not putting out the results of the hack out of the goodness of their hearts and that it was all a power play by Putin, but they (either because they exhibited the Republicans’ irrational hatred of Hillary or because they share Trump’s bizarre hero worship of Putin) did not care they were being played.

Apart from that, this columns needs to be framed and put in the fucking Louvre.
