Secret network staking tutorial (Keplr)

Staking tutorial on how to stake on Secret Network (SCRT) using Keplr wallet. At the time of writing this staking earns ~20% APR.

Staking SCRT

First of all — to handle your assets within the Cosmos ecosystem and be in charge of your coins, you’re in need of the Keplr-Wallet (https://www.keplr.app/). Be sure to only install it from legitimate sources.

Instructions

1. Click on the Keplr extension to expand the window shown below. Make sure you have Secret Network selected from the top of that window and click on Stake which will open a new window with the list of active validators.

2. From the list of validators choose the one you want to stake your SCRT with and click on Manage.

3. In the pop-up that opens click on Delegate.

4. Enter the amount of SCRT that you wish to stake (leave a tiny amount ~0.1 to later claim rewards) and click Delegate this will prompt a pop-up to confirm transaction.

And that’s it! you are successfully staking on SCRT network and earning ~20% APR.

Claiming rewards

Claiming rewards with Keplr wallet is simple. Just click on Keplr extension and then click on Claim. A pop-up will appear to approve the transaction.

Compounding
