Skinny Dipping
Here goes the confession, I’ve never skinny dipped, yes that’s right I’ve walked naked in all sorts of places but I’ve never skinny dipped so when the opportunity came I lept at it.
It was about 7.30 pm when I left home to drive to a bay on the coast, I left it late as I thought (rightly as it turned out) that the day trippers and holidaymakers would have all left for that day, and with the high tide not until 9.30 surely I’d be fine.
I live close to the coast so it was only a 10-minute drive to get a parking space on the road and then join a path and some very steep steps down to the beach. As I was walking down the path I could see the tide was fairly high and the sea looked very inviting, unfortunately, I could also see a few other swimmers and a family. I carried on down to the beach itself and was delighted to see the family packing up and another pair of swimmers getting dry, maybe I would have this beach to myself, I could only hope.
I clambered over a few rocks and then whipped my shirt and shoes off and then just dropped my shorts, I was then naked kind of hidden by a rock, and I walked straight into the sea.
The feeling of swimming naked is terrific, even more so as a few people were on the beach, I wonder if they saw me, did I care, absolutely not!
The sea was warm and I could feel it all over my body as I swam further out, I stopped and trod water as I looked back at the beach, no big flap, nobody seemed that bothered so I turned around and came back. I did this a few times back and forth naked in the sea and the feeling was amazing, so on one of my returns to the beach I thought I’d get my swim goggles from my bag and that would entail me getting out, albeit briefly to walk across an ever decreasing bit of sand to my bag on the rock. I swam in not wanting to expose too much too soon, as I got closer to the beach I could just see some walkers sitting on the sea wall looking out, maybe they were looking at me — hell go for it, so I just stood up and walked casually as you like to my bag, got my goggles and walked back in.
It feels electric is the only way I can describe it, and more importantly for anyone concerned or worried swimming, naked caused no alarm to anyone. Indeed when I stopped to put my goggles on I waved to the two ramblers and they waved back.
I’m not sure how long I spent swimming naked, it was quite a while and a few people had walked down to the sea wall and stayed briefly before walking back up the steep path. However two ladies walked down and stayed, were they coming swimming, simple answer yes they were, they both lifted their dresses to reveal swimming costumes and carefully walked in by the sea wall. I looked why they’d gone in on that spot and oops the tide was now well in, my stuff was fine on the rock but there was now zero beach and to get back to the path I’d have to cross over a few rocks and dodge the incoming waves, and also now a couple of girls with pizza boxes were now sat on the sea wall so they’d have a birds-eye view and weren’t going anywhere anytime soon.
So what to do but go for it, I swam in as close as I can then stood up and walked on the rock got my towel, and dried off, it also felt a shame covering up, ending the experience but if I didn't at the very least move my stuff I could be cut off. It was a warm evening so I dried really quickly pulled my t-shirt on and then my shorts and made my way over the rocks to where the girls were sitting eating their pizzas. I had no idea if they’d seen me or even cared,
‘thought you would get cut off’ one of them said
‘no I just made it, after a good swim, are you going in’ I asked
‘not now they both said’
I think they were enjoying the pizzas too much, so I slipped my shoes on bade my farewell, and started back up the path to where my car was parked.
So I got to swim naked, I actively swam away from my clothes and that comfort blanket of swimwear, I may or may not have been seen but no one batted an eyelid or said anything. That’s how it should be isn't it, being nude not rude is perfectly normal, isn't it?
What do you think, should I go again or maybe try somewhere different next time, either way, we are having a great summer in England so I need to make the most of this glorious weather being nude as often as possible.
