A guy just transcribed 30 years of for-rent ads. Here’s what it taught us about housing prices
Michael Andersen

There is another solution to almost all problems in California, the West, and probably the planet: BIRTH CONTROL. Just as San Francisco is built on a peninsula that physically limits how far it can expand, we live on a finite planet and cannot keep expanding infinitely. Building more housing is a good short term solution, but in the end, there is a finite amount of physical space for an exponentially increasing population. Until people are willing to address this critical basic issue, we are all in a plane whose engines have died and are coasting to the ground; just because we haven’t crashed yet does NOT mean we are doing fine and still flying.
