Are You a Secret Keeper?

Some people keep secrets. These are the folks that think that success and potential are in an IDEA. They won’t tell anyone what their idea is. Sometimes, they even make you sign NDAs.
These people are idiots.
If I have a new business idea or thought, I’ll tell anyone. I’m not scared they’re going to steal it. An idea doesn’t mean shit. It is execution that success is generated.
On Tim Ferriss’s Podcast, Chris Sacca put it very well:
I have no fear in disclosing secrets to B Teamers.
If you’re a hustler, a fighter, an A Teamer, then telling your idea to others isn’t a big deal. Chances are pretty good that they won’t do anything with it.
Talking to people about your new idea has more advantages than disadvantages. You get market validation. You get an objective opinion. You may even get to have idea sex and come up with an even better idea.
I’m all about that IDEA SEX.
There you have it. Don’t be a secret keeper. Talk to people. Get their feedback. Then go and execute because they sure as hell won’t.
